One week placement at Greater Manchester Centre for Japanese Studies.
Modified the Centre's Web pages and designed initial screen layout of Japanese Vocabulary Software.

Developed database as final assignment for a college module and was then employed to complete the database over the summer vacation.

Hobbies and interests:

I have always been interested in martial arts and have studied many different systems including Tai Chi, Chinese Kick Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, and Judo.

I have achieved a brown belt in Kenpo Karate and have taught both junior and senior students at the Karate Club I attended.

As I am studying Japanese I started a Japanese Chatting Hour, which brings together students studying Japanese and native Japanese Speakers.

I also enjoy role-playing, reading, and films.

Additional Information:

I have gained certificates in RSA Core Text Processing Skills, and RSA Concepts of Information Technology Stage One. I achieved the St Martins Level 1 Proficiency Test in Japanese three years ago at college.

I use computers regularly as an IT student, and am proficient with MS Office. I am also familiar with a number of programming languages including C, COBOL, Pascal and HTML.

I currently have a full, clean driving licence.
